What does Parkridge believe about kids?
ParkridgeKids wants to partner with parents so that children can learn to love God and His Word in fun and exciting ways, to encourage them to love people, serve others and go out into the world and share about Jesus.
Each child from babies through 5th grade is taught in an age-appropriate environment.
ParkridgeKids teachers are passionate about children’s ministry, have been through an extensive training process, and have been screened to work with children through a national background check.
What is available for kids?
Worship Care & Groups
(Babies-4 years)
Sunday: 9am & 10:30am
Available during ALL worship services and some adult group times, the volunteers create a safe and loving environment centered on Bible stories and age-appropriate teaching, music and activities.
*For children of parents who are also attending Parkridge Groups or volunteering.
Worship Service
The Bible is clear that families should worship together. This helps children, as early as kindergarten, to learn to love God as they worship Him and hear the Bible preached.
We want your child to experience all that the worship service has to offer so that, one day, they can live out their faith as they serve others and go to the nations with the Good News of Jesus.
Children can take sermon notes on the note taking guide, provided in the bulletin, and then bring the guide, filled out, to the ParkridgeKids INFO desk and receive a token for a special prize.
Kids Classes
(Kindergarten-5th grades)
Sunday: 9am & 10:30am
Let's dive deeper in the Bible, seeing the Gospel of Jesus throughout the scriptures. Our class time will be filled with games, songs, and activities that will capture the minds, and hearts of your children.
Special Needs
Care is provided Sunday: 9am & 10:30am
Our volunteer staff has been trained specifically in how to care for children with special needs.
For questions about this ministry, please contact Stacey Boyette at sboyette@parkridgechurch.com
Nursing Room
To assist our nursing moms a private room with rocking chairs and a changing table is available before, during and immediately following worship services. See ParkridgeKids INFO Desk for more information.
What about safety and security?
Our family security check-in system ensures each child’s safety. All volunteers have gone through an extensive background check and training to provide a safe and healthy environment for all ages.
How will ParkridgeKids reach me if my child needs me?
If your child needs you, we will text your cell phone. Please place your cell phone on vibrate during the worship service.
What is Family Talk Time?
Each week Parkridge provides a link on our social media platforms encouraging and equipping parents to facilitate a teaching time at home. Using the Sunday sermon as a tool, our Family Talk Time Guide provides questions and answers to help guide the teaching time.
How can I serve in ParkridgeKids?
There are plenty of opportunities to serve in the children’s ministry. You can make a difference in a child’s life!
