WELCOME TO
PARKRIDGE CHURCH
OUR VISION
Two critical evaluation questions are "What is your business?" and "How's business?"
When you consider the ministry of the church, these questions help lead the direction and purpose of conversation.
The Great Commandment and the Great Commission, both found in Matthew's gospel, give us our marching orders. Our ministry is to love God, love people, love service, and love the nations. We can boil it down to love, serve, go!
We invite you to join us in the journey.
Our History

The roots of the ministry here at Parkridge go deep. The late Pastor Bill Billingsley of Sheridan Hills Baptist in Hollywood, FL, could be considered the spiritual and physical father of this ministry. Pastor Bill Billingsley was the founding pastor of Sheridan Hills Baptist Church, the church that started Parkridge. He faithfully served there from 1963 until his death in 1998. He was a visionary and a true Christian leader in every sense of the word. His vision and willingness to step out in faith was instrumental in the beginnings of Parkridge. To this day, Parkridge shares Pastor Bill's vision for ministry. We are who we are as a direct result of his obedience to our Lord and his leadership in casting the vision for new churches. More than 50 churches in our area can trace their heritage right back to Sheridan Hills.
In 1992, Sheridan Hills Baptist Church felt the call to help start a new church in the Coral Springs and Parkland area. This church was created to serve the spiritual needs of Northwest Broward County. Eddie Bevill was selected to pastor this new church, which began meeting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Coral Springs. The original name for this church was First Baptist Church of Parkland, but that changed when God provided a location for a church building—land that bordered Parkland in Coral Springs. So the church was renamed Parkridge Church and in 1996 construction began on the new home in Coral Springs.
